Surah Kahf Last 10 Verses | Commentary
To those whose eyes had been covered by My Reminder, which means they disregarded it, shut their ears to it, turned a blind eye to it, and refused to take direction and follow the truth.
And here Allah says:
They could not comprehend Allah’s mandates and prohibitions because they could not endure to hear them.
Then He says
Therefore, do those who disbelieve think they can substitute My slaves besides Me as Awliya’ (protectors)?
Do they believe that this is beneficial to them and the appropriate course for them?
Nay, but they will deny their worship of them, and become opponents to them. (19:82)
According to Our word, We have prepared Hell as an amusement for the unbelievers. Allah claims that on the Day of Resurrection, He has prepared Hell as their place of residence.
As a result, the Ayah is all-inclusive and refers to anybody who worships Allah in an improper manner, believing that he is doing it correctly and that his acts would be approved, but who are in error and whose deeds will be rejected.
And in the next Ayah Allah says:
The phrase “Should We tell you” refers to the people who have lost the most because of their actions.
Then Allah defines them, stating that they are those whose efforts in this life have been ineffective, i.e., they have performed acts that are not in conformity with the required behavior that is acceptable to Allah.
They believed that their actions were doing them good at the time.
That is to say, they believed that their actions had some justification and that they were welcomed and loved.
These are those who reject their Lord’s Ayat and their opportunity to meet Him.
They disregarded the evidence that Allah provided for His Oneness, the veracity of His Messengers, and the Hereafter. They also disregarded the indications that He provided in this world.
So, their efforts were in vain, and We will give them no credit on the Day of the Resurrection.
translates to “We won’t make their Balance weighty because it is devoid of any virtue.”
According to Al-Bukhari, Abu Hurayra said that the Prophet of Allah said:
On the Day of the Resurrection, a large, obese man will stand up, yet in Allah’s eyes, he won’t even be heavier than a gnat’s wing. If you like, recite: And We shall give them no weight on the Day of Resurrection.

It was also recorded by Sahih Muslim.
Next Ayah
It implies “We will punish them with that because of their unbelief and because they viewed the signs and Messengers of Allah as a joke, insulting them and disbelieving them in the harshest way,” that is, “That shall be their retribution, Hell; because they disbelieved.”
and misinterpreted My Ayat and My Messengers.
The Benefit of the Goodly Christians. Allah claims
“Indeed, the Gardens of Al-Firdaws are for the enjoyment of those who believe and perform good actions.”
Allah informs us about His favored followers, those who had faith in Him and His messengers and had received what they had conveyed as true.
They shall have the Gardens of Al-Firdaws, he informs us (Paradise).
Al-Firdaws is the highest point in Paradise, located in the midst of Paradise, and it is where the Paradise Rivers originate if you ask Allah for Paradise.
They were given entertainment in the form of hospitality.
Next Ayah
Wherein they shall live (forever) signifies that they will remain there permanently.
They will not have any desire to go.
implies that they won’t ever select or desire anything else.
Even though one may assume that a person who is to remain in one area forever would become weary and sick of it, this ayah shows us how much they adore and desire it.
But, Allah assures us that despite their permanent stay, they would never decide to go from their current location.
The Lord’s words will never be fully expressed.
Allah says:
Say: “Even if We brought anything like it to help it if the sea were ink for the Words of my Lord, definitely the sea would be spent before the Words of my Lord would be done.
The sea will run dry before all of Allah’s teachings, knowledge, and signs could be written down, the Almighty declares in a Quranic verse addressed to Muhammad.

Allah revealed that:
Say: “If the sea were ink for my Lord’s words, the sea would run dry long before my Lord’s words were done.
According to Allah, even if those seas served as ink for His words and all of the trees served as pens, the pens would break and the sea’s water would run dry, but His words would endure since nothing can outlast them.
For none else save the One who praises Himself is able to fully appreciate Allah’s magnificence or give Him the praise He so well deserves.
Our Lord is as He says He is and He is beyond what we can say.
The beginning and the end of this world’s bounties pale in contrast to those of the Hereafter, which are like a mustard seed in comparison to the entire globe. Muhammad is both a human and a messenger, and there is only one God.
Say to these idolaters who reject your word to them, “I am merely a man like you,” says Allah to His Messenger Muhammad.
Let whoever says I’m lying present anything similar to what I brought. Because I was unaware of the Unseen, the historical events you inquired about and I informed you of, the actual histories of the Cave and Dhul-inhabitants, Qarnayn’s I was also unaware of the Unseen.
And I can confirm that your God, who commands you to worship Him, is a monotheistic being who has neither a companion nor an associate.
Thus, if a person aspires to meet his Lord, that is, wishes for a favorable reward and recompense, then he should work righteousness, that is, act in accordance with Allah’s established regulations, and not include anybody else in his worship of his Lord as a partner.
When someone says they are seeking Allah’s pleasure alone, without a companion or associate, they mean this.
The two main characteristics of good acts are as follows:
They act in conformity with the teachings of the Prophet of Allah, with the only purpose of serving Allah.
On the Day of Resurrection, when individuals are rewarded or punished for their acts, Allah will declare:
Visit the person you were bragging about to the world to see if there is any prize there.
One of the Companions named Abu Sa’id bin Abi Fadalah Al-Ansari is quoted by Imam Ahmad as saying:
“I overheard the Prophet of Allah saying,
On the Day of Resurrection, the Day of which there is no doubt, Allah will collect the First and the Last.
“Whoever used to join someone with Allah in the actions that he performed, let him seek his recompense from someone other than Allah because He is the least deserving of any partner or companion,” a voice would cry out.
Ibn Majah and At-Tirmidhi both documented it.
