• Have We not comforted and reassured your heart for you?
• and lifted your load from you.
• It put a strain on your back.

• With difficulty actually comes ease.
• Actually, ease follows difficulty.
• Therefore make an effort in worship and supplication whenever you have time.
• And direct your only hope onto your Lord.

• Alam nashrah laka sadarak
• Wawa da’anaa anka wizrak
• Allaziy anqada zaharak
• Wara fa’anaa laka zikrak
• Fa inna ma’al usri yusra
• Inna ma’al usri yusra
• Fa iza faraghta fan sab
• Wa ila Rabbika far ghab.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ (١) وَوَضَعْنَا عَنكَ وِزْرَكَ (٢) الَّذِي أَنقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ (٣) وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ (٤) فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا (٥) إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا (٦) فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَانصَبْ (٧) وَإِلَى رَبِّكَ فَارْغَبْ (٨)

Meaning Of Alam Nashrah Surah

The first verse, Have We not comforted and reassured your heart for you? That is, have We not made you comfortable with the religious teachings while praising Allah?

given you the best qualities, made you think about the afterlife, and made it simple for you to achieve goodness? As a result, he had an anxious heart that was unable to embrace kindness or feel at rest.

As for the second verse,

And lifted your load from you. It put a strain on your back

Similar to the verse in which Allah declares:

So that Allah may forgive you your past and future sins

(Surah al-Fath 48: 2)

And exalted for you your renown, that is, We have elevated your position and made you the subject of praise on a scale that no member of humanity has ever accomplished.

Hence, just the mention of Allah and His Messenger (SAW) is made.

When someone joins Islam, during the adhan and iqamah, during khutbahs, and in other instances where Allah has elevated the reputation of His Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

And there is love, adoration, and reverence in the hearts of his Ummah that is reserved for Allah alone.

May Allah bestow upon him, on behalf of his Ummah, the greatest recompense ever bestowed upon a Prophet.

Thus, it is true that difficulty leads to ease.

This is wonderful news because ease always follows hardship and trouble, to the point that even if hardship were to crawl into a lizard hole, ease would pounce upon it and drive it out, as Allah declares in the Quran.

Allah will bring about, after hardship, ease.

What Is the Purpose of Surah Alam Nashra?

The subject content of this surah is extremely similar to that of Surah ad Duha.

Both surahs were revealed at around the same time and under similar conditions.

The first ayah’s verb, Nashrah, is referred to as ash-Sharh and al-Inshirah.

After becoming a prophet, Prophet Muhammad SAW faced challenges that he had never faced before.

This was a critical turning point in his life since the society that had previously regarded him with such veneration became hostile against him as soon as he started proclaiming the message of Islam.

People in Makkah stopped listening to him; he started to be ridiculed and humiliated; and he kept running into new difficulties.

Even though he eventually learned to deal with difficulty, the beginning was extremely difficult for him.
